Thunderbird MBA to be a One-Year Program

A heavy emphasis on global business In the fall of 2013, Thunderbird’s MBA program will switch from a traditional two-year curriculum to a new one-year one. The new shorter format will accompany a lower price tag, about $20,000 less than the previous 20-month program (for a total cost in the $60,000 ballpark instead of $80,000+). President Larry Edward Penley notes that this change will keep Thunderbird â€Å"on the forefront of market trends in a changing global economy and in an ever-growing competitive business education landscape.† The b-school will also reinforce its analytic component, in an effort to meet the changing needs of employers, â€Å"the school’s ultimate customer.† The shortened program will also have a heavy emphasis on global business with a multi-week global experience (available on an extended track). You can see more information about the changes to the curriculum, as well as a list of program highlights, on a Thunderbird news release here.         Accepted.com ~ Helping You Write Your Best
